Pros

The bucket collects 7 liters of water from my basement twice a day. My space down there is around 1200 square feet, with two rooms, and this one appliance is enough for the entire space. I live in a provided apartment within the college res hall, sub ...  Read More

Cons

After plugging in, the panel freezes up and nothing works. Just like many reviewers posted here the fan continuously runs despite reaching the desired humidity.

Not under any circumstances. Zero of the features that are standard for a dehumidifier even function properly. Poor to non-existent customer assistance from black and decker.

The pump works inconsistently. The pump only removes enough water to keep the dehumidifier from shutting off. It works on continuous mode with a standard garden hose attached (not included), but not with the valve and clear hose that come included.

I'm really annoyed because i thought black and decker was a reputable company. The packaging is sub par, and the plastic that makes up the case of this thing is very brittle. They tend to break and they don't honor warranties.

Called manufacturer twice over 1 week span. Received product july 3, 2010. Two months later, called again and was told my case is escalated. Today they tell me they are waiting for the unit to be shipped over from the warehouse.

Quality

Just make sure to keep up with the filter if you have pets

Blackdecker has always been synonymous with quality and this dehumidifier is no exception

The button with the head and the leaf is a 34comfort mode34 that does literally nothing

The button with the water droplet turns off the 34tank full34 sensor so it will drain out the hose that is provided

Competitiveness

Its quiet enough and does a great job dehumidifying our rather spacious basement
