I am glad that I read several reviews before making this purchase. Some warned about the headaches, and it happened to me. The headache came after a few minutes of taking ONE capsule with some warm water. It's amazing how quick the headache started. It felt like a dull pressure more in the forehead and the back of the head....but still all around. Not like a migraine at all. Not anything that will scare you. It is just a potent root. I did have to take some ibuprofen though. The instructions on the bottle says to take 2 capsules 3 times a day. Everybody is different so I knew to start off easy with this potent root. Listen to your gut and be wise. I took it with warm water to melt the capsule quicker and waited about 5 minutes before eating something. I felt the affects right away. It's almost as if it made my body have a hot flash. I literally thought it was pulling a hot flash from me in a very slow and smooth way. It was a full body heat which was not normal for me since I only get heat from the neck up and at the lower part of my legs and feet. I never have flashes around my body.The whole body heat didn't cause me to sweat so I think it was just a sensation within me. I put my hands against my cheecks to see if my skin was warm. They were cool. Then I knew whatever was happening was definately occuring internally. I should let you know that I took the first capsule in the evening. I didn't want to try it out while at work since I didn't know what the symptoms would be like. Better that way. I went to bed to watch a movie and every several minutes I had a very soft and smooth hot flash (more like an easy rush of heat) that would subside within a minute. I was able to sleep nicely even though I felt slight 'heat rushes' throughout the night. Nothing that really disturbed my sleep. When the 'heat rush' episodes would subside, I would actually feel cold and have to put the covers on and go back to sleep. That was pleasant. It was a good first night. I am so glad I didn't take 2 capsules. It could have been a crazy evening. The next morning I decided to open a capsule and pour a pinch into an 8oz. Cup of hot water to make a tea. I drank this while driving to work. Once in a while I felt my body want to start a flash so I would take a good swallow of my tea and the start of the flash would dissipate within a few seconds to a minute or 2. I made more tea throughout the day (at work) as I needed. Half way through the day I decided to just remember to sip some tea every few or several minutes just to avoid an 'episode'. Why not right?. One sweaty flash got away from me and I just gulped the rest of the tea real quick. It was a quick sweaty flash that lasted about 2 minutes. If a flash happened, it didn't come on like a ton of bricks to kick my ass. It was easier and quieter. So far so good. Peed a lot Hahaaa..... I made a tea for the drive home. Just 1 baby heat flash when I got home. It was so subtle that I didn't realize it until I felt hot (like a normal person) and took my jacket off. I was all smiles!!.... Only drank 1 cup of tea when I got home. Made another one the next morning. We're at the beginning of the 3rd day now. I guess it builds up in your body so you may not have to make a tea all day long. So far, 1 cup (or whatever quantity makes you happy) in the morning, afternoon, and the evening.I just drank it whenever I wanted. No damn rules here. Who wants to follow any rules? Just make your tea and remember to drink it from time to time. Walk around with your water bottle or whatever so you aren't having to make CUPS of it. Thats what I did. Free your mind!Also, a pinch is whatever you think that is. Open the capsule and pour a littl bit in your hot water. That's what I did. No stress and no over thinking the measurements. I thanked the root for helping me while I stirred it. I thanked the root for giving me relief from this new poopoo in my life. I don't pray to no Jesus character. I thank this earth gift and I myself for meeting each other. This goes against western civilization thinking which is devoid of any spirituality. I thank the original Black gods if I'm going to thank anyone.I should say that I didn't have to make sure I ate something first. Probably because I took doses in 'pinches'. You decide what's best for you. I did notice pretty quick that I had to pee a lot more than usual. A different kind of peeing. Kind of an urgent need to pee. I'm certain it wasn't because I was drinking more liquids. It felt like my body was releasing some toxins. It literally wanted to leave my body. Also, my peepee came out of me very cool. That was strange but caused me no distress whatsoever. Like an urine cleanse out. That's the only way I can explain it. More good results.Slept great, good energy. Anxiety about life's crap reduced but I don't know if that is a side affect. I will have to take this longer to know. Maybe it relieves negative moods or thoughts too. It will be great to find out for sure. Keep in mind that roots do work quickly. Not slow or Never like pharmaceutical medication does.I should write that I am a healthy female with no health issues. I take no medication. This system calls me Haitian. We understand roots and appreciate them by talking to them. If you think that's silly, then just don't do that part. They will work for you any way. They harm no one. Just respect their power and be happy.3 days now and I'm horny. More than usual but nothing crazy. Very interesting results. I'll have to take it longer to make sure it is the root and not just me. I'm usually kuku most days anyways but this was interesting. My scalp has been tingling as if more blood flow there. I knew that this could happen from this powerful root. I'm very tender headed now while detangling my hair. Maybe it could stop hair fall. I was never tender headed before taking this root. Remember, root work is quick. No having to wait weeks for results with this particular one. Combining this root with Licorice root is even more amazing as they like each other. Take a pinch of both in your tea. They like working together.That's all I have for now. Last but not least, I just started flashing about 7 days ago. I didn't even know this could happen this early. I was talking to someone at the gym and said those famous words.....is it hot in here? and they said I don't feel anything, and I quietly freaked out in my brain and said Oh Helllllllll Nawwwwww...!!!!Hell to the NO! We ain't doin' this today!I hope my review was helpful. I will absolutely have to come back in a week or two to add an update. This is going to be very interesting. 10 stars*****Approx. 4 week update: No hot flashes or that embarrassing sweaty face while your standing or sitting still. I have progressed to taking a half dose in my morning smoothie, and the other half (in the capsule) around 1pm every day with a meal.I got overly confident only once. Never forgot again. Woke up in the evening, threw the covers off and wondered what the hell was going on. Nope nope nope! I'm happy to say I never missed a dose again. I'm still sleeping well. That is an unexpected side affect. I've already purchased a 2nd bottle. Running out will be a naw-naw for me. Give it a try.  Read Less
