Pros & Cons
Pros
This tray catches the seeds and lets me reuse them in the feeders. It's an extra feeding station for them and it helps with weeding as all the extra seeds get eaten rather than deposited in the soil to sprout. One as a catcher n the other as a platfor... Read More
This tray works perfectly for nero thin birdfeeders. Buying a 12” soon for my smaller tube feeder. The finches and chickadees now land on the feeder and this seed catcher tray, giving me two layers of birds, with still less mess on the ground.
Works just as expected. Hopefully, this solves the problem. This tray is fantastic. This is awesome!
Simple to clean out by simply detaching the unit and removing the waste. Adjustable chains allow you to customize the height. While this is very lightweight it's surprisingly sturdy.
It is sturdy (we didn’t actually need do use a rock to keep it from swaying in the wind). If there is no wind, the tray is wonderful. It's also stable enough for birds to perch on without tipping.

Highlights
Quality
I am really very pleased with this tray.
I do not agree with the one star comments.
I agree with the previous review that it seems very big when first received but it catches all manner of seed husks and wayward kernels.
Price
Price is very very high for basically for a plastic dish.
Shipping
I couldn't justify paying shipping to get another one, so i sanded the edges of the crack, then sealed it with several coats of super glue.
Packaging/appearance
Good as new, if slightly uglier due to the presence of the glue.

I thought it would be a screen, so even less water would collect on the seeds the birds (and squirrel) drop.

Instead, it is smooth plastic with a few small holes.

The hooks kept falling off the base of the birdhouse, so i finally rigged up some cords with turnbuckle snaplocks to attach to the chains.

Was looking for one not made out of cloth mesh type materiel, but wanted a larger than 14 inch diameter for my larger birds to feed from, as well catch the seeds from the feeder above it is attached to.

Still the pigeons and doves do manage with it.

Hope the seller can get one manufactured in a larger diameter.

If it is windy, the chains blow off the perches even when the hooks have been tightened down.
