In addition there is a zipper on the back of the waist band which i believe is for attachingsewing to your jacket so it doesnt fly up in the wind while riding and to unhook it you just unzip it
Also there is definitely kevlar there is a label in the pants that says reinforced protective lining 60 kevlar 40 polyester
When you stand theyre fine and not that noticeable there are also pockets in the hips to insert ce foam hip protectors
