Pros & Cons
Pros
If you can relate to the living in 17th and 18th century, this book is a treasure trove. The audible version is super well read in my opinion. Not only readable, but very well researched.
Cons
The isaacson biography is also sorely disappointing because it is so. Time will be better spent elsewhere than reading this one.
Walter isaacson depicts franklin in the worst light. Spends most of the book speaking of speculation on and personal failures of franklin while only praising his amazing accomplishments. I'm just not interested in such heavy handed partisanship.

Fortunately for franklins sake he had an uncanny ability to land on his feet whether it was as runaway apprentice as owner of a print shop as publisher of a newspaper as a scientist writer or diplomat
