When i first pulled it out of it's box, i thought it was some cheaply made thing but it's not as bad as i thought. When i pulled it out the humidity reading out of the box was 47%, my other hygrometer said 32%, temp was off as well. But i left it alone for 3 hours and it's now just 1 point above my other instrument hygrometer about 33%, temperature came down to within 1 degree to 86 degrees. It looks a little cheaply made, but if you just need a cheap digital clock with alarm with temp/humidity, weather predictions, moon phases, then this isn't bad. Adjustment buttons feel flimsy but it works, it was relatively easy to set the settings, and to F rather then C. I didn't open the battery compartment but it's a small phillips size screw so i'm assuming it's a 2032 round battery as the cover is about that size.Update: Had this about a month now, we've been having weird high humidity lately and been getting a lot of rain prediction in the weather area, 2 times it was correct and we had rain. Oh the clock has the weather predictor at the top, then clock, moon phases, date showing month, day, and mon-sun, degrees and humidity. So for now i'm upping the score to 4, for the cost, it does seem like it's within a few points of my other hygrometers.  Read Less
