In fact t he beilan radios i received comes in the standard retail baofeng box and says baofeng right on the radios

This is great because baofeng bf888s radios are excellent but it has the same problem as the baofeng models as well

While all the stock baofeng radios can communicate with each other on nonstandard frequencies they cant communicate with clamshell radios cobra midland motorola and anything else that follows the default frequencies

This might sound like a great way from picking up other peoples conversations but these nonstandard frequencies might actually interfere with emergency services in your area and are illegal to broadcast on

Its not as good as my previous pair but i didnt even think one was included since its not mentioned anywhere in this product page

I would normally drop a star for the improper frequencies but this is expected from baofeng radios and programming them to the correct frequencies only takes a few minutes especially if you have the configuration saved from a previous radio
