Pros

The motorized faders, controls and scribble strips are just where you'd expect them to be- albeit after a button press or two. The motors are 'chatty' but for the price i'll move my microphone behind a barrier to avoid any motor noise ruining the trac...  Read More

Works with any daw. Even if you find the button layout confusing from the daw control angle you can go to the music tribe site and download the overlays to print out for the x-touch one.

The use of automation had been a novelty for me previously; now it's a necessity. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.

One warning. No regrets here. Couldn't be happier. And at that price. But no big deal. That is because they are. First at all.

Cons

Faders are flimsy and loose. Really, very dated and poorly made. Unable to update firmware. It's really frustrating that otherwise nice hardware is crippled this way.

There are many * that are not named appropriately for the function the perform (a scribble strip helps). Comes installed with 5 year old firmware, meaning cubase pro 11 on windows 10 cannot see the x-touch. It is not programmable. It does mackie contr...  Read More

Quality

Musicianspro has some great youtube videos for this product [.

Totally satisfied with what you condo on reaper with it.

Cons:some of the quality is questionable for something that costs near 500 dollars.

I would love to see better quality faders.

I'm delighted with the simplicity while i was disappointed with the documentation.

Packaging/appearance

It's perfect for logic pro right out of the box.

I had trouble with this out of the box, it wouldn’t connect to my x32 rack.

14) set it to mackie control on usb, configured it in ableton, and everything works flawlessly right out of the box.

Competitiveness

If you use an xr18 mixer, i would totally recommend the xtouch as a physical interface.

Have not used some bottons yet, but it works great.

Honestly, even if you find the button layout confusing from the daw control angle you can go to the music tribe site and download the overlays to print out for the x-touch one - they are the exact same layout in function.
