I ordered medium, the same size workout gloves i've always gotten - and i have fairly small hands for a guy - but these are just a bit tight on me - if i had it to do over, i'd order large, so i would think most guys would need at least extra-large.

If you're looking for that second skin feeling, then i'd look at other reviews before possibly getting a size down.
