The ignitor stopped working on my four year old weber genesis e310 gas grill

Was getting no clicks to ignite the gas even with a changed battery and an attempt to deoxidize the battery terminals

Simply removed the two screws holding the metal plate in place below the controls assembly then removed the old ignitor by unscrewing the ring and then unplugged the four colorcoded leads

Screwed on the push button inserting aa battery first and then replaced the metal plate below the controls
