The only thing is this model doesnt have an automatic shut off you have to remember to tur it off

I could not find any info whether or not they have always been owned by conair or if it was acquired sometime between my 2 purchases

Also annoying is the large sticker on the cord saying you cannot leave this straightener plugged in or it will burn out as current runs to the flash heating mechanism even when switched off
