Although this filter isnt necessary in dslr photography as the camera is most likely to address any uv issues i prefer to protect the front element of the lens

Its a bummer seeing some of the reviews from the past two years with customers somehow ending up with counterfeit filters always be sure to buy directly from the vendor for any website that allows third party vendors
