    Using the motion jpeg stream i can feed the video right into a web browser in my home network or share it externally through my router if i wanted and dont need to use the axis web interface at all

    You can set up areas of the video that should be monitored for motion and then have the camera send an email make an http request or more when it detects something moving there

    And the motion threshold is adjustable so small pets dont set it off

    Having it be wireless will usually net you a lower quality image and clog up the wireless connection for the other computers in the house

    Extreme lowlight conditions like no light at all leaves something to be desired but im going to try adding an ir illuminator and see if that helps

    Its a little annoying that the camera has a hardwired 6 foot ethernet cable already attached
