    A simple plug in to the back of the stereo and then a decision as to where the hole should be drilled for the female jack i chose to drill it on the face plate of the gear shifter because it would be low enough for cords to not be hanging in the way of the shifter or the stereo controls

    The cable is sort of excessively long and you will almost certainly need a ground loop isolator to reduce the hum from charging your device
