    Needing to mount the old controller below the dash where the holes would not show would also make it difficult to adjust or test it while driving.

    It's not wired for an under dash unit (who wants to drill into that leather dashboard anyway), and the other trailer mount units won't work without modifying my lincoln.

    The trailer mount brake control systems need this power lead for setup and/or operation (read the reviews on the other controllers).

    On these vehicles, there is only power to this lead when connected to discharged battery--it prevents overcharging.
