Pros
The sma-female connector is a perfect fit for my baofeng radio. Radio has huge capabilities across the spectrum especially if you want to go further into ham radio. The reception and transmission are the best i've ever had.
One of the standout features of this antenna is its durability. Made from a steel tape measure type of material and as such is somewhat flexible if not the strongest build quality. They are extremely flexible without sacrificing gain.
Cons
Swr on this antenna is very high and unuseble. Lowest power is 25 watts. The non retractable antenna works okay, but this retractable version is not so good imho.
Lost readability about 200 yards apart. Signal is very choppy. Only for vhf repeaters with a tigertail installed.

The nagoya na771 144440 is a great alternative and the txrx coverage is very noticeble
I swapped the stock 34rubber duck34 antenna on my handheld with this antenna and i am at least picking up noaa much much better
The range and signalnoise ratio is better with this antenna than the stock antenna that came with my baofeng radio

For those reviewers complaining about high swr i guess they forget two important things about handhelds

High swr on a handheld is not an issue due to the fact that the radios are built to take it and the huge bag of water that holds the radio to use it destroys all attempts to get low swr
