They are a combination of an inear bud and a bud that rests in your ear lobe so you have two methods of keeping the bud in your ear simultaneously

For their price they sound phenomenal and the long pieces of rubber covering the last inch of the cable before each ear bud are designed and shaped so that when you have them in your ears the ends of them are gently pressed into your skin beneath your ear
