Not as long as i expected and you pretty much have to dedicate yourself to making sure no food gets on the string as i had to scrub one there and it fell off

The wrapping came off after being used for 23 months but we don’t mind

I am not sure about the durability of washing them with the ends wrapped in string but washing gently by hand should fix that

All being said i am still leaving a 5 star review because i truly love that first set of spoons that i have but it seems the sizing may be a luck of the draw type deal therefore i will probably not order these again

They are made of wood but there is no description about the type of wood used
