The sound of bullets rippling through the walls and base crashing with explosions is beyond this world. The highs are crisp, the mids are center stage and the lows are punchy and significant.

The card is very easy to install, no real issues. It makes my pc boot up a little slower than it use to. My only concern is that there's no control center for linux.

The xonar d1 is a piece of garbage. The sound in the headset is also horrible. The card only provides output for rear surround over spdif.
