I have held off writing a review of this cowash because so many hair products have seemed to work the first couple of times I used them and then backfired, but not in this case. I love this stuff!I will preface my review by saying that this cowash is for curly girls and I am not one, but it works for my hair, too. For your reference (and especially if you share my problems), my hair is/was:FineThinHighly porous (from dyes, heat, etc.)Frizzy but mostly straight (IOW it will kink, but it will not curl)DryProducts I had tried made my hair progressively worse, despite costing a fortune, recommendations from pros, etc., and this led me to wonder if there might be a curl pattern trying to force its way out of my hair. I also thought using a flat iron to iron away the frizz was not doing it any favors.So I started on the the Deva Curl line, which works for many (not me). Tried all of their stuff and all of the curly guides--I squished, plopped, saturated, satined, diffused, and air-dried my hair. I Googled days away. Hair got better for a minute, then much worse. Finally, I saw somewhere that someone had a problem with glycerin in Deva Curl products drying their hair out, and this led me to research the effects of humidity and humectants on hair. I had also wondered if my hair might be reacting poorly to protein. I decided to give it a full on detox with products that contain not only curly girl friendly-only ingredients, but also no protein and no glycerin.That turned out to be a very short product list! But lordy, thank you, As I AM, for making this one, because it's made the difference. I am no longer experiencing the parched, dry, frizzy mess, and my hair feels truly clean for the first time since I was a kid. Wow. I had literally forgotten what really clean hair feels like.If you have the same kind of hair issues that I do, don't let the fact that this stuff is meant for curlies deter you, just try it.Oh, and also, it smells amazing--not overbearing like some products; in fact the smell washes away fairly easily. But it's a lovely moment during the washing. Yay. I am so happy.  Read Less
