Pros & Cons
Pros
Artify brushes come in a reusable plastic storage box. The bristles are not the best quality, but given the price, that's to be expected.
These are thickly haired brushes with nicely weighted handles. Long handles are useful for studio work at an easel. Professional-grade chungking bristles assure smooth, accurate strokes.
I find that the acrylic i was using lightened up when i added a very little water to the paint and the brush still spread the paint smoothly without any bristles falling off. These brushes, on the other hand, seem to have the resilience to snap back t... Read More
This 15-piece set exemplifies exceptional craftsmanship. The first masterpiece, a still-life pear, is on canvas.
Cons
Brushes are cheaply made and do not hold their shape well after cleaning.
The bristles are hard; i try soaking them in water to use them. The other brushes are loose on the ferrule and it wiggles around when painting. They shed bristles - a lot on the first use and occasionally on subsequent uses.
Highlights
Quality
The ferrule is well constructed and feels sturdy
They hold shape well and are sturdy
Or they are made with hog bristles that are too coarse and don’t help the artist achieve any accuracy in details
Handles are wooden and do not bend
Price
Highly recommend and especially for the price
In my opinion this set is a really good value for oil painters
I’ve spent this much on single brushes
I ordered these for my daughter who is enrolled in her first art class in college so i didnt want to spend a ton of money on brushes
Packaging/appearance
I really like the fact that they came in a reusable plastic storage box that i can use for all my brushes
I love that they came with a carrying box
Competitiveness
As in i didnt buy a different brand for the sole purpose that they didnt come with a case
Most of the other brands all look the same to me
There is one other brand that makes pretty good cheap student grade brushes but i can’t remember the brand off hand
