The structure of the book is like a resource book for the arduino ide. Previewing the table of contents of the index will give you a feel for the book's scope. It's great to have a compendium on hand to refer to instead of mindlessly googling things.

Cons

This is a very rushed book as can be seen by simply looking at the errata. Also this voltage divider example is very poor. Because the code is far too convoluted for such a basic concept.
