Pros & Cons

Pros

Perfect for anyone that is a railroader. Also noteworthy, is more room in the cooler. If you have to transport a larger cooler over a distance, it is a little lighter as well to consider. Do 24 hours.

Cons

Buyer beware. The tundra is the worst of the 3 in every category you can think of. There are a million better options than these. The other 3 are useless.

This thing is near impossible to get frozen and takes days even when it does. Doesn't freeze at all. Been in the freezer since my last review and now is total liquid.

The tundra just is not practical to use and is only good for occasional short term cooling. Expiring, realize that these don't actually hold any freeze at all. In a conventional consumer refrigerator, these things are unfortunately useless.

Fits flat in the bottom of my lunchbox cooler

These need to be in a freezer that is very very cold for them to freeze and then when the temperature is slightly higher than that very very cold temperature theyll start defrosting while absorbing a massive amount of thermal energy

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Essentially once they melt though they have all the thermal mass of a small amount of plastic and some water so they arent much use if you cant get them all the way solid

In fact if you sandwich anything cold between two of these itll freeze it solid ive been camping and had to wait a whole day before i was able to cook my steak originally just refrigerated because all my meat had froze now i know to keep frozen stuff on the bottom and less frozen stuff away

Nc sunny day at 94 degrees… 1020am to 330pm popsicles were still frozen hard

I did use 2 5lb tundra panels in a soft engel cooler

These purple ice packs are designed to keep frozen things frozen and will quickly exhaust themselves trying to freeze a cooler packed with drinks

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You need a different ice pack for that
