Pros

You just need some tubing, couplers and shut-off valves from the hardware store. Wanted to start with the mindset of living here for the rest of my life. Water quality noticeably better.

Aquios water dispenser has a spin down 50 micron filter. Replacement cartridges are around $60 and i replace them every 6 months for a family of 2. Filter and cartridge appear to be well built, the mounting bracket is a bit flimsy.

All the stainless, chrome and even the grout in the shower is cleaner and more vibrant. Laundry seems softer and the soap seems suds better.

This system is significantly cheaper and smaller than huge salt-based systems. It also doesn't require salt refills, and there is no risk of overflows. It will also prolong your appliances a bit longer as it will also take out further contaminates.

Cons

This seems like a great idea but absolutely useless! Water tastes better. I wish i could return this as i feel it was misleading what this product could do.

I took out a softner and put in the filter system

If you have wellwater then you probably need a prefilter to remove sediment etc
