"it's great for people like me who hate being talked down to by an expert - even if we know that expert knows more than us" it feels as though it's simply a more skilled person communicating his skills to you. The 3rd edition is even bigger.

A good and beneficial book for programers. It's a must read for a programmer. From an industry standpoint as well as an academic standpoint, i believe this book does an excellent job.

This book is applicable to both novice and experience developers alike without stressing on a specific technology. For people like me, that its main knowledge's source are books, this one is the best i read about oo.
