Cons

This is ridiculous! Turns out it is somewhat of a fake. And again, very inconvenient. Truly a disappointment.

It reads cds (although it mis-reads or messes up on cds more than other drives) ripping cds is a nightmare.

Apple support says it is not compatible. This is really disappointing and now i'll need to find an alternative device.

I requested a later date for shipping but amazon tricked me and sent it early so there i was this weekend looking at the gizmos

Competitiveness

Ordered it with syntech usb c to usb adapter and it works great with my new macbook pro

Yes it costs more than most but the performance difference more than made up for the price

A little pricey but cheaper brands which i tried were not compatible with imac
