I decided that it would be quicker to attempt a repair myself than to send it to apple or a 3rdparty repair service and was pleasantly surprised to see the display screen assembly available on amazon for 13 the cost of what i was seeing others quoted

Upon first powering up the computer i was thrilled to see everything work as expected followed by utter disappointment as i noticed a bright streak on the right edge of the display and extremely poor viewing angles both vertically and horizontally

Im going to remove it anyway because theyve been invalid since 1975 because of the magnusonmoss warranty act
