To charge the battery itself you use micro usb i hate hate hate micro usb as anyone thats ever used it knows its a pain to plug in usually

The provided charging cable is cheap and the charge port and the water tight door align in such a way that the contacts will bend and eventually break long before the 500 charge cycle
