Because of the past reviews i thought perhaps the fan wasnt working properly since i heard absolutely nothing

I had to place my hand near the vent and feel the air flow in order to verify that the fan was indeed operating

The model i have was manufactured in april 2011 so it would seem that apc has rectified the fan noise problem

Purchased this may 9 2011 and use it at our church as a ups for a projector yeah probably over kill but it has worked flawlessly for almost 3 years with no maintenance

With this unit you have to first lay down on the floor so you can see the menu and then you actually can not shut the unit off

This was at company that was located in an industrial park that had almost daily brown outs and almost weekly short duration black outs
