It installed some janky web server type thing and it barely communicated with the ups at all

In summary it keeps peripherals running on backup but will shut down those peripherals with the computer under normal operation

As with any ups the disappointing part is the cost of the replacement battery

This apc backup is a great product from a reputable brand

It has a replaceable battery unlike the only slightly cheaper upss out there
