Firstly it beeps when the power goes out which can get annoying after awhile holding the power button disables this and it only makes one long beep after a power failure without the intermittent repeating wail

With the modem and router hooked up during a power outage the longest we lasted was over 4 hours on the battery with no loss of network connectivity power was restored before the battery died
