Pros
Mind boggling. Return was handled very smoothly. Amazingly, the price is the same as when i first bought it. Would recommend to friends.
Monitor is slim, light and quickly packs into laptop bag. This being portable and easy to take with you is perfect. Having a second, larger laptop extended screen more than makes up for carrying additional weight around.
My fourth aoc usb monitor and works like a charm. Works perfectly as a second screen and the fact that it plugs in with just a usb cable makes my life so much easier. The usb outlets on the macmini provide ample current to power the monitor.
Cons
This is not a plug-and-play monitor like what the manufacturer claims it to be. Not even 4 months old. If the material, box and monitor say auto-pivot it better auto-pivot. Pathetic product, company and service. Now a paperweight.
Usb connection on monitor interface is loose and makes the monitor sensitive to shifts in positioning. Requires drivers to be downloaded. Only works if you have a usb-c port, which not all laptop has.

Picture quality isn’t the greatest but for the value it gets the job done and it’s super light and easy to use

For a brand i didnt know i surprise a good one
May be an antiglare screen protector will solve the problem

It requires that the displaylink software be installed on the most recent version of macos big sur in order to function

This makes it tricky to use as the main monitor because the software will not load until after one logs in

The only workaround i have found is to set up my macmini with no password for the main account and enable automatic login

The macmini has no sensitive files or apps on it it is just a server for my media collection

It would not be ideal for my macbook pro but that has its own monitor so the problem doesn’t arise

Would have been perfect value for the money had it not been the fact that it is only powered via usb c with the expected higher power output
