Life lessons embedded are indefatigably useful, and the frankness, while at times edgy, remains in short supply in spite of the alleged calls for authenticity these days.

The only reason i gave it 5 stars is because amazon wouldn't let me give it 6.

Its very matter of fact - say it like you see it kind of a book.

It shows the life of angels , startup founders and grim truth of the investing game.

In the book, jason overviews very specific actions the reader can take if they want to get involved in startups.

This is not the next novel in a fantasy series but jason calacanis's personal tour through silicon valley where angels (investors backing founders and their wildest dreams) work together in search of dragon eggs (start-ups that will at least return the initial investments) and even the elusive unicorns (successful companies that will achieve a $1b market value or greater).

If you can answer the questions jason always asks his startups (and himself), you're positioning yourself for success.

Jason does not lack self-confidence or even arrogance but he backs up his talk with results and more importantly, processes that you could see actually working in real life.
