Published in 1985, this book does a wonderful job of chronicling the loss of america's greatest natural resource. It is no surprise that this book has made a revival in recent years. Reviewing in september of this book is a really really good read.

If you can take some time to really unpack and digest this section, the rest of this book becomes quite enlightening.

Even dated as it is, postman asks the right questions to stoke our discursive juices and jumpstart our perceptions. Postman is a prophetic voice.

    Its academic nature especially in part one will be a turn off to some

    By sticking with it part one will be justified through part two and the end result is that the authors 40year old preachings and worries have largely proven true and that today’s society seems to be no closer to addressing or working to solve them

    I simply understand that certain messages carry through typography and certain messages carry through social media and tv and unfortunately the messages that carry through social media and tv are quite awful
