Design where it hangs a full inch below the objective is really badly thought out. Working distance is greatly reduced, especially at higher magnifications.

Very easy to add and the adjustable light is more than sufficiently bright even for high power
The brightness control is excellent and lets me get exactly the right level of contrast i need
The sad thing is that their tech support could not help me get rid of the lines so the ring was defective and i needed to return it
The light on my 30yrold russian dissecting microscope died
Price
I would like an even brighter version for taking pictures with a diffuser but this seems to be the best at this price point
Returning defective products should never cost the customer money to return
Shipping
Amscope made me pay to return it it cost me 15 to ship it back

There is more glare as you turn up the brightness but thats just physics as the light comes at a straight angle

Some complained about the ring being made from plastic and yes it feels cheap but then it is cheap

The screws that tighten it to your scope go onto the black ring you see in the picture

That ring must fit your scope or you will have trouble getting this led light ring to hold one

The screws cant be tightened very much because you will break the plastic that they are threaded into
