    So simple: you just open the hood, turn the dial to disconnect the battery (it even says on the dial which way to turn it for off or on).

    I suspect it's the door open sensor, but the drain is still there after removing the fuse for the dome light.

    One thing i would add if i designed this, a small led to show whether the connection is open or closed, instead of guessing.

    This is a chinese built version and appears to work the same, but sad to see all of these manufacturing jobs going overseas.
