Pros

It is so nice, just richer than before. Yes, the rings are painted. Get a grip. Excellent customer service is just the icing on the cake.

The oaky flavor it gives my whisky is fantastic. Friends and family give rave reviews on taste and the only thing that changed was aging 1 year in these barrels. I bought this to age some mead that i made, i hope it turns out good.

Have about six of these both in 2 liter and 5 liter sizes. Was leak free after one night with warm water. Had a few questions, and those were answered by seller within a day or two.

Cons

Cork for spigot and top cork are very soft and seem like they would leak. Spigot is junk and does not seal. Leaking appears to be seeping through the grain of the wood of the spout.

Looks like it was just hacked together and gooped up with glue. Pictures show other flaws that are not as pictured in the advertisement.
