This arm can definitely hold heavy monitors. With my 18 lb monitor attached, I had to decrease the tension on the spring quite a bit before it would lower the arm.The main weakness of it is the tilting mechanism. It barely tilts up enough for me. It also swivels to put the monitor vertical - but it is too easy to get the monitor out of level.If it allowed more freedom for tilting and a little more resistance to swivelling, I would give it 5 stars.  Read Less

Took a risk and ordered despite there being zero reviews anywhere for this product. I was pleasantly surprised that it held up my Apple Cinema Display (~23 pounds) with ease.Pros:- Build quality is very good for the price, probably very similar to mounts that are $200+- Holds a heavy monitor up with ease, just needed to tweak up the adjustment screw a little bitCons:- The tilting function could be better/stronger. Probably not rated heavy duty like the arm itself.- manual is terrible, missing almost all the instructions -- just got one page of it in the box. Luckily you can get the rest online- a little wobbly when i type, but probably due to the cheap ikea standup desk in which I have it mounted to.  Read Less
