Apple macbook pro doesnt support a second monitor through the builtin hdmi port or at least i couldnt get it to work

Took a minute to recognize the samsung monitor primary screen is an apple on thunderbolt but once i power cycled the samsung with it plugged into the second thunderbolt port it all worked fine
