The zippers are good have had no issue with the closure have not had a lot of water on backpack yet to be determined if its water proof ish so far for a 5 th grader it has held up from the throwing and dragging the pack around

Not very supportive so wouldn’t suggest for a student who will be carrying heavy books in the bag
