Amazon boasts a 5 year shelf life. Then bathed in 365 kansas city barbeque sauce. I have been impressed.

Cons
The battery is still before expiration date. The 9v batteries have a bit of a lip at the top that causes problems fitting in toys, flashlights and items becoming worthless fess.
What a joke. Dead on arrival. Very, very disappointing.

If you buy a smoke detector get a photoelectric one since they are not as sensitive as ionization detectors which can be more of a false alarm creator near kitchens

Theres no need to wrap each individual battery in shrink wrap which is very difficult to remove but thats what they do
