I washed them in large garbage cans with warm water and a small amount of detergent but then these kids got them pretty filthy

It is much smaller when packed up than my previous tent but this is not a backpacking tent by any stretch

The two odd things are the side windows can only be closed by pulling the rain tarp over the tent

The other issue is that the doors are not well protected from any rain other than a nice gentle rain that falls straight down

If there is air movement and the rain blows against the doors you may well get leakage
