Every pad has a plastic liner around the edges for reasons i cant understand

My puppy would go right for these borders instead of the middle of the pad which ended up getting urine all over the floor and ruining the pad in one shot

It was almost amusing that training him to use the pad was leaps and bounds simpler than training him to use the right part of the pad
