The highlight of the books were the first few chapters and the last two chapters

I knew many of the algorithms processes described and in some cases was already behaving in a fashion similar to the optimum but i hadn’t recognized it

Just the idea that you can follow an optimal process and fail 67 of the time is somehow comforting

I have a ms degree in business with emphasis in quantitative methods data science so ive studied some of these principles before but this is written in laymans terms with real life examples

It also mentions the book eat that frog which recommends doing the most important task first even if it is ugly

There were so much new concepts for me like optimal stopping bayes rule etc which are mind opening
