The minky fabric side is for use during the warmer weather. One side of the blanket uses a nubby fabric that he loves. If the fabric snags on dry skin, this blanket is just right for them.

Love this weighted blanket. Yes its heavy, but definitely bearable. Heavy enough to feel comforted, but not so much that he feels trapped under it. Not too heavy but heavy enough and evenly distributed.

Blanket does not come with a removeable cover - it is just stuffed with a cotton filler and glass beads. Warning label says it is flammable and not to leave it in direct sunlight. No change in difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep for me.
