The only way it slots in place is if someone climbs on the table underneath and guides it in place, while someone else cranks it open. Company unhelpful. It is very flimsy and has already broken!

After a year the connector piece that attaches the cord to open the parasol broke and after contacting customer service they sent a replacement one straight away
