Pros & Cons
Pros
The 85 pound hopper is just the right size so the unit doesn't get tippy. Much better made than my old scotts spreader. There's nothing comparable to scotts edgeguard which keeps you from throwing fertilizer on your driveway and sidewalk.
Cons
Parts missing, parts don't fit, parts are scratched, bent and dented. Looks as though there's a flaw or factory mistake on the axle design. It is cheaply made.
There's really little control on how much is applied; it’s either a lot or very little as the control setting is very poorly designed and with no agitation to stir material it all depends on gravity.
The bottom control door is so loose it * at an angle between the slides. The control lever is poorly designed. You have to be very gently and slow when opening the hopper.
