Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Hiked the inca trail to machu picchu with frequent rain. They block wind well and help retain some heat if you are sitting around in a squall. This poncho is a game changer for wet back packing trips.

It is a little dorky at first glance, but trust me when i say it’s worth it. Works great over my backpack. Plus multiple colors, including my purchase of hunters orange.

It fits ok if you cinch down the face opening and adjust the hood. A brimmed cap or other headgear is recommended.

At the bottom of the poncho is a button to seal it between your legs to keep it from flapping. There's a loop and toggle under the storm flap to help hold this material up.

Cons

This thing actually weighs in at 12. It is also a pullover which is not convenient and will be quite warm. The material is not waterproof at all.

Our packs were large and the ponchos fit well with ample room to spare although we are all smaller framed folk

Unbelievably convenient to be able to pack poncho and backpack cover into one light piece

The bill keeps water from dripping in your face like cheap ponchos though you have to be careful no to crush it up when packing

This poncho does the job and has a zipper for pack access while wrapped up or on the go
