Very good quality, holds my ipad well and yes it can hold books im not sure how heavy though.

Not a good quality rubberized plastic which to me, is what you should be getting for 99 dollars.
It will not fit in the stand with the rubber shell on though.

It will fit a 7-inch tablet in portrait mode, but my 10-inch tablet also needed to be horizontal.

You can adjust the height of the arm on the stand, but the arm does not swivel on the main vertical arm.

Assembly probably took about 15-20 mins to do at the most just from doing that last part which is shown above where i was trying to figure out how the top portion of the adjuster went on correctly.
