As expected the onoff button turns the termometer on and off but the product does feature an autooff function to prevent it from being left on and wasting battery

The cf button changes the readout to display in celsius or fahrenheit

To use this temperature you can just simply turn on your device and insert the metal spike into whatever you want to measure

This item can be very useful for tracking the temperature of something a pan as it continually reevaluates as it receives new information and so shows the progressive increase
